I am getting ready to start a series of campaigns/one-shots which will be played offline, but on a virtual tabletop, and using a variety of systems (D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and FFG's SWRPG for example). Whereas Roll20 focuses on simplicity and functionality, Fantasy Grounds offers ridiculous amounts of customization, a beautiful interface, and plenty of optional supplements and rule books that can be purchased. Roll20 vs Fantasy Ground We have been playing Traveller and Pathfinder on Roll20 for the last few years. I'm running 5e, so d20pro at least has the PHB and MM. But Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds have all, or at least most, of the official rules and monsters. This list is my preference, but I will easily admit that Fantasy Grounds and Roll20 could easily be switched depending on your preference for features. Roll20 has no support such as rulesets or adventures for Traveller, whereas the support for Pathfinder is more elaborated with very advanced and competent character sheets, rulebooks etc. Also, as said, there's many officially supported materials if you wish to contribute to the original creatures a bit.
